CB Richard Ellis (CBRE) has appointed Bill Lane to the management board of its Russian operation. Lane will oversee the company's capital markets and asset management businesses in Russia, as well as provide general strategic advice and support for the development of CBRE's business in Russia.

In 1994 Lane co-founded Noble Gibbons, which became one of the 'big four' real estate brokerages in Russia during the 1990s. Noble Gibbons became the Richard Ellis affiliate for Russia in 1995 and remained the corporate affiliate until it was fully acquired by CBRE in 2006.
