Anneke de Vries to head Ahold Europe RE

Anneke de Vries has been appointed as the new director of the European real estate arm of Netherlands-based international retail group Ahold.

De Vries takes up the appointment at Ahold Europe Real Estate & Construction on 1 November 2011 to replace Jan Willem Weissink who left in June to become director Netherlands at listed retail property specialist Corio.

Ahold Europe Real Estate & Construction provides proeprty services to Ahold Europe.

De Vries worked at ING Real Estate from 1993 to 2010. Her last position at ING RE was as country manager development for the the Netherlands.

De Vries is chairperson for Bureau Architectenregister (architects' register in The Hague), a member of the supervisory board of housing corporation Rochdale, and she established her own consultancy on 1 January this year.
