Abercrombie and Fitch come to Dublin
Date: 18 February 2011
Category: Retail
Major US fashion and lifestyle retailer Abercrombie and Fitch is to open its first store in Dublin. The fashion giant's latest European store will be located at 34 College Green, a former banking hall building, in the Irish capital's city centre.

Abercrombie and Fitch is leasing 2,500 m2 across three floors and has been leased on a 10-year contract. Abercrombie and Fitch, which trade from 1,100 stores in the US, Canada and Europe, expect to open in Dublin in December, following a major refurbishment and fit out.

The letting is a boost to the Irish capital’s growing international retail line-up, according to Savills. The international real estate advisor acted for Clarendon Properties which own the building.

Larry Brennan of Savills Ireland, said: 'Abercrombie and Fitch are joining an already impressive line-up of national and international fashion and lifestyle brands now trading here. Their decision to locate here was influenced by our strong tourist base, our young population demographic and the significant level of brand recognition that exists here'.
